Solo travel is fun but who's gonna take your photo?
Well, thank God for the invention of tripods! I don't use tripod in public places and only take selfies when I'm alone to have some memories to look back on and for proof that I went on a trip. Lol.
I do have an existing tripod which I've been using for several years but it was huge and takes quite a huge space in my backpack. I'm aiming for a more compact and lighter items on my travels last year so I decided to purchase a smaller tripod.

Guess what? I only got this tripod for Php 114, more or less $2 USD! It's cheap so I didn't hesitate to buy it.

Sure, there are even smaller tripods out there but this one got good reviews and looked really sturdy. I'm afraid some tripods can become unstable when it can't carry the phone's weight.
The feet can also be extended which can be useful when I want the shot to be a bit higher. I think this could be useful when I record some videos of my jelly cakes.
Another feature that I like is its 360 degree angle. It has this ball mechanism which allows it to do that. I find it difficult to make portrait angle with my old tripod and this new one makes it easy peasy!

However, one thing I didn't like was the phone holder. It was too difficult to stretch to insert the phone. I also noticed that it clamps the phone too tight that it might cause damage on the phone someday. Good thing the phone holder from my old tripod fits on the new tripod. The old one has a knob to loosen and tighten the holder so you can easily control the grip on your phone.

In addition, I doesn't only help me take solo photos, it also helped me multitask while I'm on a video call with my sister. I was able to pack my bag and prepare for hotel check-out while still chatting with her. I also like that this tripod fits perfectly in my travel organizer pouch.

I also use it often as a phone holder whenever we go to the cemetery so I could freely use my hands to eat while still chatting with our sister. :)

It doesn't come with a camera shutter remote, by the way, good thing my old tripod has one.

And you can also close the feet and use it like a selfie stick.
I'm very satisfied on its quality despite it being affordable. I didn't like the phone holder which came with it, however, but it's okay.
Well, that's it! Do you also bring tripod on your travels?

thank you :)
