Perfect for kids

I want to continue the remaining story from my short trip to Jati Sewu. I split it because I think it would be boring to read if I wrote a super long blog. While in the previous blog I showed the natural side at Jati Sewu, this time I want to write specifically about the attractions, including the one I tried which was the swimming pool.
I can’t even swim🤣 I wrote about it not so long ago when I was reminiscing about my experience at Gili Ketapang. But my youngest sister really wanted to swim, so I had to accompany her.

Honestly, when I saw the swimming pool situation, I didn't even want to go into the area. We came to this place on a weekday, expecting it would be less crowded. But turns out, it wasn’t as quiet as I hoped. The swimming pool was packed with people. So many children were happily playing in the water.
Besides the thought about wasting money if I paid the ticket but didn’t swim, the waiting area was also just as crowded as the pool. Parents and families were there to accompany their children. So I decided to just join my sister to go swimming as well.

This place is perfect for kids because there are so many rides to try, like slides and the signature water spill in the pool, which I don’t even know what it’s called. With IDR20.000 (about $1.20), I think it’s worth it for parents to pay for their kids to enjoy those rides in the swimming pool.
I only sat at the side of the kids pool for a few minutes, then I helped my little sister try the adult pool which actually isn’t that deep. We were swimming for probably about an hour, then I told her to hurry up since there was already quite a long line for the bathroom.

Beside the swimming pool, there are other attractions with similar fees. One of which is a train that loops around the Jati Sewu area. Thankfully, my sister didn’t take me on, because I wasn’t in the mood for it. For another riding attraction, there are ATVs to try, and it only costs IDR10.000 (less than $1).
I was actually curious to ride one myself, but after getting out of the pool, I've run out of energy other than to eat haha. The usual rides at tourist attractions like the merry-go-round, the ferris wheel, and the car swing, are also there. How can people ride the Car Swing by the way? Even just looking at it made me dizzy.

However, even if you don’t go on any of the rides, I think just strolling around Jati Sewu is quite interesting enough. There are many statues throughout the area. From a fun one like an elephant, to thoughtful statue replicas, you can find them all.

I've written about the abundance of plants in my previous blog, but among them there are also some beautiful photo spots. For example, one spot with a big “love” shaped where visitors take turns to take photos (including my sister, of course😁)

Last but not least, there’s a lake. It's not very big, but enough for duck boat rides. I think it would be fun for bonding time between parents and childrens, only if they can handle the heat lol. Overall, Jati Sewu is a pretty good destination considering its location that isn’t too far from my city and the affordable entrance fee for less than $1. It's really nice to be able to spend time in a place that’s full of attractions but also still offers a natural atmosphere.

Thanks for reading the rest of my story, hehe. Are there any destinations in your area with a $1 entrance fee? I would love to read about it too :)
Wow, that's a cool place with affordable entrance fee!😍
Gosh, there's actually a lot to enjoy in there no. A lot of attractions, visitors will never get tired in that place.
My last trip to Curug Sumba was also $1,maybe less. It was Rp. 10.000,-. Even it's free for the locals, seems like they helped out the area in one way or another, not sure 😀

woah $1 is worth it for these attractions and especially for kids they will really enjoy the rides and swimming in the swimming pool. no wonder why there are so many people because it's cheap hehe
Wow, the entrance fee is so cheap! Maybe there have some cheap entrance fees with similar attractions in our area, but only during Fiesta or carnivals...
