RE: Got away to Nepal for a short holiday

I honestly respect that you gave Nepal a second chance even though the first trip didn't really do it for you. Six days of trekking with no city noise sounds like the perfect reset, and it's funny how your phone photos look better than half the polished travel shots online. Did this trip actually change your mind about Nepal?

Nepal is a mixed bag. Everything is a huge hassle until you get to where the winding mountain paths begin, then everything is great. IN the city you are constantly pestered by everyone if you look like a tourist. The roads are awful, everywhere smells bad, and it is super crowded. So if you can deal with that part of it long enough to get to the trails, then more power to you. For me, I didn't have to deal with any of this because my friend knows some people here and everything was arranged before we ever left the airport. I can't imagine how much of a pain it would have been otherwise.
