Wat Ton Kok, Chiang Mai, Thailand, A small temple in the countryside that is 124 years old.

Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. In this post, I'll take you to another temple in the countryside of Chiang Mai province. This is a temple in Phrao District. It was a trip in early February. On this trip, my wife and I visited the temples in Phrao District. One of those temples is Wat Ton Kok. Before I take you to see Wat Ton Kok. I'd like to share some brief information about this temple. Wat Ton Kok is an ancient temple that is more than 100 years old in a local rural village. This temple was built in AD 1902 or 124 years ago. But there is no information about royal granting of the land to a particular temple by announcing in royal decree.

Then I'll take you to see the atmosphere of Wat Ton Kok. Wat Ton Kok is a small temple. And this temple has two temple signs. The first sign is located in a community area before reaching the temple.

The second sign is next to the entrance arch of the temple.

There are only two highlights of this temple. The first highlight is the large entrance arch. This arch is made of bricks and spread cement on bricks with painted gold color. There are three pagodas on top of the arch.

The second highlight is the buddha image hall (viharn). This buddha image hall (viharn) is made of bricks and spread cement on bricks with painted white, decorated with patterns in the Lanna art style (original Thai art from Northern Thailand). There are two gold color serpent statues on the railing of the staircase leading to the buddha image hall (viharn).

Other atmosphere in the temple. The temple courtyard has trees, a bell tower, a small pavilion with the buddha images, a large building for monks and section containing the monks' living quarters.

Although this is a small temple, my wife and I enjoyed our visit. And I want to share this with everyone. These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post.
