Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. In this post, I'll take you to see a small temple in the countryside of Chiang Mai Province. The province where my family and I currently live. I moved from Bangkok to Chiang Mai about 9 years ago. And we live in a rural district of Chiang Mai province. Besides we like the nature in this province, we also like the temples. Temples in northern Thailand have the unique and beautiful in Lanna art style (Original Northern Thai art). Looks different from temples in other regions. I plan to take my wife to visit temples in our country when we have free time and the opportunity. Especially temples in Chiang Mai province. And I'm not focusing temple on famous or large temples. I also visited small temples or unknown temples. This time I visited a temple in Phrao District, another rural district in Chiang Mai Province. This temple is called Wat Thung Ku. Wat Thung Ku is the 114th temple in Chiang Mai province that we have visited.
Brief information about Wat Thung Ku. Wat Thung Ku is an old temple in Thung Ku village. The locals call this temple Wat Ban Thung Ku. This temple was officially permitted to be established as a temple in AD 1822 or 204 years ago. But there is no information about royal granting of the land to a particular temple by announcing in royal decree of this temple.
Wat Thung Ku Sign.

Wat Thung Ku is located in the Thung Ku village community. I'll take you to see the atmosphere of the community in Thung Ku village first. It's the atmosphere in front temple and near the temple.

There is also a mini restaurant with Thai food cooked to order near the temple. This restaurant is simple but the food is delicious.

The atmosphere at Wat Thung Ku. This is a small temple, there is not much area. When my wife and I arrived at the temple, we parked our car outside the temple.

This temple have only a buddha image hall (viharn), a pavilion for religious ceremonies, the pavilions for the monks and section containing the monks' living quarters.

These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post. Invite everyone to see and enjoy my stories and photos. Please forgive any errors/mistakes. Have a great day. See you next time. Thank you for your support and visiting my post. Bye 🤗
