Visit a temple in Chiang Mai, Thailand : Wat Chedi Yabanphot.
Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. Let me take you on a temple tour in this post. This temple is located in Phrao District, Chiang Mai Province. Phrao District is another district with many old temples. Many temples are over 100 years old. In late January, so my wife and I visited the temples in Phrao District. One of those temples is Wat Chedi Yabanphot. My wife and I enjoy visiting temples and learning about the temples we visit too. So, before I take you around Wat Chedi Yabanphot, Iād like to share a few brief details about this temple. The original name of this temple was Wat San Bayang. Wat San Bayang was once an abandoned temple. But I don't know when Wat San Bayang was built. Before the temple was officially established in AD 1983 or 43 years ago. The temple was renovated and rebuilt, then renamed Wat Chedi Yabanphot until now. In addition, the temple received royal granting of the land to a particular temple by announcing in royal decree in AD 1987 or 39 years ago.
When my wife and I arrived at Wat Chedi Yabanphot. The first thing we saw was the temple sign. The temple sign is built in the style of a traditional Thai boat.
Before we enter the temple, In front of the temple is a large white arch. A mini pagoda was built on top of this entrance arch.
The highlight of the temple is the Sri Lankan-style pagoda. This pagoda also houses several buddha images. And the pagoda contains the Buddha's relics too.
Within the temple area, there are also pavilions of various styles.
And there are the outdoor buddha images.
In addition, the temple areas also contain a buddha image hall (viharn), the building for the monks and section containing the monks' living quarters.
Although this is a medium-sized temple, my wife and I enjoyed our visit. These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post. Invite everyone to see and enjoy my stories and photos.
