A small temple in the countryside, over 100 years old : Wat Pa Ha, Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. In this post, I'll take everyone to see a small temple in the countryside. This temple is called Wat Pa Ha. Wat Pa Ha is a small temple in Phrao District, Chiang Mai Province. My wife and I visited this temple a few days ago. And this was our simple trip to Phrao District. Even though Phrao District is close to our home. But this is the second time we've visited this district. Because traveling is quite difficult. We have to travel from our district to Chai Prakan district, And from Chai Prakan district to Phrao district. The road from Chai Prakan District to Phrao District is mostly the road winds over the plateau and some areas of the road are quite steep. But it is a road amidst nature.

It's some areas of the main road from our district to Chai Prakan district and rural roads in Chai Prakan district to Phrao district. And a rural road in a rural village in Phrao District before reaching the temple.

Wat Pa Ha is about 93 kilometers from our home. Although Wat Pa Ha is a small temple in a rural village of the local Thai people, But Wat Pa Ha is an old temple, over 100 years old. Wat Pa Ha was officially permitted to be established as a temple in AD 1867 or 159 years ago. This temple received royal granting of the land to a particular temple by announcing in royal decree in AD 1950 or 76 years ago.

Highlights of Wat Pa Ha. Wat Pa Ha have beautiful buddha image hall (viharn) and ordination hall (ubosot). These architectural built and decorated in Lanna art style (art from northern Thailand).

But I didn't take photos of section containing the monks' living quarters. Although Wat Pa Ha is a small temple. But this is a beautiful temple.
