Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. Chiang Mai is a rather large province and is divided into 25 districts. Over the past few years, my wife and I have traveled to seven districts within this province. Although we haven't been traveling as frequently this year due to expensive fuel costs and my responsibilities in caring for our autistic son. But this year we had the nice opportunity to travel to various places : visiting temples, exploring popular attractions, admiring beautiful viewpoints, experiencing local village life, and fully immersing ourselves in nature. We once traveled to Phrao District, another rural district in Chiang Mai Province. The area is mainly composed of farms and nature, perfectly blended with the local village communities.
In this post, I'll take you to a village in Phrao District. This village is called Ton Kok Village. But the locals call it Ban Ton Kok. In this Ton Kok village community features a nice blend of houses and lush trees, It looks peaceful and shady, and it's a lovely place to live.

In addition to residential houses, this village community features local shops, restaurants and a small sports area for the residents.

A village temple remain vital to this local community, serving as the venue for religious ceremonies and the spiritual anchor for everyone here. The village temple is called Wat Ton Kok, the same name as the village. Wat Ton Kok is a small rural temple. This temple has stood alongside the village for 124 years.

Finally, I'll take everyone to see the farms outside the village community of the villagers in this village. Most of the locals here are farmers and rice is the main cash crop of this village, Therefore, there are many rice fields here. These farms lie exactly halfway between Ton Kok Village and the next village. It was a truly refreshing green area, at that time even though under the bright and sunny sky, but the atmosphere was revitalizing with accompanied by a gentle and cooling breeze. My wife and I enjoy looking at these farms every time, it’s beautiful, just like letting liberating to let our emotions run free.

Even though it was a brief moment of our happiness, this trip felt completely worth it for us. If we have free time and the opportunity, we intend to travel to other rural villages in this province. These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post. Invite everyone to see and enjoy my stories and photos. Please forgive any errors/mistakes. Have a great day. See you next time. Thank you for your support and visiting my post. Bye 🤗
