oh it's totally legal in Michigan now? I must have missed that part of the news since anything related to USA is dominated by stupid politics where everyone hates everyone else so I just kind of tuned out of all US news in a general sense.

Yes, it has been legal for recreational use in Michigan for a couple of years now. You can have something like 12 plants for personal use which seems so excessive to me.
