It's madness how many stupid things I read about Thailand and it seems they can't do things right, they are just treating symptoms rather than eradicate the cause.
I don't see why should balcony railing be made higher. It's your responsibility to protect yourself from falling and if you're stupid enough to get so drunk and/or high to fall off the balcony, you deserve your faith. Is this cruelty or insensitive thinking?

if the balcony railings were made higher people would complain that it is blocking the view. The only people that fall as far as I have read are people that are in Pattaya to get really drunk and party all the time. This is one of the dangers that comes along with personal responsibility
