Day 2882 | Rooftop Bar Date

Saturday was another great day here on my 2-Month vacation on Hua Hin. I started by making a small breakfast in my condo with an omelet and some rice crackers with peanut butter. As Always I joined a 2-Hour Muay Thai Boxing class which was the 5th in a row for me and I'm starting to enjoy them more and more also seeing my overall endurance improve.

I followed that up with spending some resting time in my room while having some music on. I also took out my trash for the first time and got ready to go on a date which was set at 18:00 at the Sky which is one of the rooftop bars in Hua Hin. I already left my condo an hour early as I was walking there.

The idea was for us to see the Sunset but there were too many coulds. It was still very nice though to see the cycle go from day to night and we had a great spot outside.

The girl I met was pretty much exactly what I expected and hoped. A very outgoing and social fun girl who spoke fluiently English which made it just into a super enjoyable evening without ever a moment of awkward silence as we kept up the conversation for around 3.5 hours in total on the evening. There also was a big glass balcony I ended up standing on which actually was way more scray than I expetced but fun for sure.

The image also doesn't really show the real hight. Once we had a coctial outside which still was very reasonable in price, we walked to the tamarind market to get some food first having some difficulties choosing but we ended up with some wontons, a thai salad with papaya, and some barbequed honey glazed porc meat which which we shared and which was super tasty.

While it was a really fun date, at the same time we also were just very different (which I knew in advance), so from both sides there was no tension whatsoever to make it to anything more than it was. I have always thought that friendship between men and women never works because there is always 1 side who wants something more. However, this setting of being new in a strange city where you don't really know anyone kind of makes this different to me and I enjoy having her as a friend really. We also will meet again normally on Wednesday to go see the Backrooms movie which we are both hyped about.

So I had just a wonderful time on Saturday and I look forward to seeing her again probably on wednesday.

Next Day Goals: I normally also have a afternoon date on Sunday but the weather seems a bit rainy so it might get cancelled. Otherwise there is a break day from the Thai Boxing and I don't have much planned. So I will make it into a resting day and see where it takes me.
