The last sowing of 2025: Flowers💐🌷🌼

Welcome to a new post, dear Hiver!

I couldn't close the year without first planting something.

I hope, and it would be wonderful, for the New Year to have new species of flowers in the garden.

For this occasion I was collecting seeds on the street. It just so happens that while going to buy materials for my online accessories store I saw some cosmos plants with seeds ready to pick. So I took some of them and put them away.

Then, while spending a few weeks on one of the streets I usually walk on, I saw these beautiful water lilies. It had rained, so they bloomed.

That's why I spent every day of the week passing by the same mole, waiting patiently for the flower seeds to mature so I could take even a few.

And it was this week when the seeds were finally ready. I took just a little, very carefully, and left the rest.

So I brought them home and was waiting for the right time to plant them.

More than all because I hadn't had time. The online accessories store has had sales throughout the month, which means that we are creating accessories to recover stock, and also taking orders.

While I had my seeds on my desk where I usually work. That desk of mine is more organized this year, I'll show it to you later, but there I not only work, but I also keep some important things from the garden like my seeds. I look like a bee hahaha.

So the big day arrived, today.

Today is in my country Venezuela December 29, 2025, and we are in the waxing gibbous lunar phase, it is good for flowers, however I must take good care of them because it starts to rain suddenly and excess humidity can rot the seeds.

I also have to protect them from cats, so I will show you everything I did.

The first thing was to go prepare the containers. I have some plastic containers at home, we don't use them so I have them in the garage waiting for something to occur to me. And since I love plants and they look good, I sometimes use them to plant some.

So take two of them. I opened them halfway and poked some holes in them.

Then I looked for some soil from the garden, and started planting my flowers.

My sister helped me record, you already know that I have a gardening YouTube channel, so I collect material by recording some things I do and then edit my videos.

It takes me a long time editing videos, I know, but hey, I'm not an expert at it yet and I like to take things slowly.

Then I sowed my seeds and covered them lightly with soil from the garden.

Don't plant them too deep because they only need to be one centimeter deep.

After that, take this mesh that I used previously for the lemon grass. I kept it for a bit, I kept it because I knew I would need it and this was the opportunity.

I covered my containers with my seeds, and held everything together with a straw.

This will help keep the cats from getting into the containers and digging into them. Because if a cat or any animal digs up the seeds that plants will not germinate, they are delicate and I must be careful.

Especially with the seeds of lilies, which are even more delicate than those of cosmos.

Once finished, place them in their final place. They will be in indirect sunlight, this way the eastern Venezuelan sun will not burn my seeds.
