Today I'm back in the garden to tend to my plants. But it's different from the previous days. Today I'm going to tidy up my ornamental flower plants, which are covered in dry leaves and twigs. It's been a long time since I've trimmed the leaves, about six months or more.

Here are the flower trees I'll be tidying up.

Even though they're covered in new leaves, their shape is still visible, because I used to regularly prune the leaves of these flowers. I really enjoy the beauty of the flowers. I chose these flowers because they can be shaped to your liking. They used to be very beautiful and I always cared for them, but after the flash floods, they weren't as good anymore. Many of the branches were dirty and broken, so they had to be thrown away.

To do this job, I needed several tools, such as a machete, flower shears, gloves, and a sharpening knife.

First, I had to sharpen the scissors and machete. This made pruning easier. Sharp scissors also made the results neater.

After completing the preparations, I was ready to begin. Okay, I'll start with the first tree.

On this first tree, I had to use a machete first to cut off the excess lower leaves and the branches that were starting to get long. After that, I continued pruning the leaves with scissors, trimming in a circular motion, creating two levels.

Actually, I didn't change the shape, just... To clarify the situation, I removed the leaves that had become too numerous and messy.

In about 10 minutes, I finished the first tree. My wife immediately swept up the fallen leaves and threw them in the trash. After I tidied it up, my flowers looked so beautiful, and she seemed to be thanking me.

2nd tree pruning

Now I'll move on to the second ornamental tree. I don't know the name of this tree, but its trunk is long and tapers upwards. It's very easy to trim. I trimmed the leaves at the bottom first, then trimmed the scattered leaves from top to bottom.

It didn't take long for me to finish the second tree. I immediately moved on to the next flower tree next to it.

3rd tree pruning

On this third tree, I had to use a ladder to reach the top.

I shaped it into three levels, and it looks neat and beautiful. It took me quite a long time, especially since I had to use a ladder. Once I was finished, I immediately moved on to the next tree without pausing or resting.

4th tree pruning

This fourth flower tree was already wilting and couldn't stand upright due to being hit by water during last year's flood. Luckily, it was still alive. I thought it had died at the time.

I tried to support the trunk with a rock. Even after pruning, it didn't look beautiful because it didn't have many leaves. Hopefully, it will thrive again. I think I'll need to give it NPK fertilizer to stimulate its growth.

5th tree pruning

Of all the trees, this was the tallest and most difficult to prune, but it was the most beautiful and fertile flower tree. Perhaps it was positioned just right and had a balanced water content and organic fertilizer. However, I've never applied any chemical fertilizer to any of my flower plants.

I had a very difficult time pruning the top. I slowly but surely prioritized safety, even though I wasn't wearing any personal protective equipment. But it looked very beautiful after I tidied it up, and I was satisfied. After finishing, I moved on to the next flower, which was to the right of the house.

6th tree pruning

This is the messiest flower tree. Just look at the leaves. They're so tightly packed that they no longer have their original shape. I had to reshape them. With a little skill, I finally managed to make this flower beautiful again.

7th tree pruning

This is the last flower tree I'll prune. Unfortunately, the branches are broken and split, and the roots are severed. I had to tie it up and support it to get it back in the right position.

After pruning and tidying up the flower plants, I'm now going to care for my coconut tree by trimming the dead branches.

This is one way I care for my coconut tree so it continues to bear fruit abundantly. I also pick young coconuts.
