Today I returned to my garden to check on the progress of the plants I always care for. The long, hot, dry season has caused my mango trees to suffer from diseases ranging from leaf curling and leaf scorch to flower and fruit drop, which makes me anxious.
Although it rained several times in early August, that doesn't mean the dry season is over. Now, with another month of rain, the well in my garden has dried up, and the water supply is very low, causing some of my plants to wilt and become diseased.
My beloved mango tree is about to flower again and bear fruit, but unfortunately, many of the flowers have fallen due to the heat, and the small fruit have also fallen off.

I'm not sure if my mango tree is being attacked by pests, causing the flowers and fruit to fall off, or if it's just the weather. But what's strange is that the leaves of my mango tree aren't fresh, they're abnormally shriveled and charred.

I also noticed a kind of sap coming out of the trunk, but it's thickened and dried. I suspect this is the work of stem borer caterpillars, but I can't be 100% sure due to my limited knowledge of this matter. So I'll ask an agricultural expert for a solution to save my mango tree. If you have any solutions, please let me know.
I also observed the growth of my chili seeds.

This is the Abayomi variety of cayenne pepper, which produces very abundant fruit. This is my second time cultivating this cayenne pepper plant. I like this type of chili because it has a large and tall stem. You can see from the seeds that it has a large and tall stem, and this type of cayenne pepper is very resistant to pests and viruses.
I water it every afternoon. As the days go by, its growth is getting bigger and its leaves are starting to spread. I closely monitor the seedlings to ensure they are protected from pests and viruses.
Next, I will harvest the cayenne peppers in my backyard. I planted these cayenne peppers behind the house so they are easy to harvest when needed for cooking.

The chilies are becoming more numerous, some are already red, which is a sign that they are ripe. If they are not picked, they will fall off on their own in the next few days. At first glance, there aren't many fruits, but if you look closely, they are... The fruit is abundant, but it's covered by its own leaves.
This cayenne pepper has a very strong, spicy flavor that seems to linger on the tongue after biting into it. However, we really like it. No dish is complete without the heat of the chili, perhaps because we're used to spicy food.

This is the harvest from my garden today. This amount of cayenne pepper is enough for several dishes. I don't use much of it, but my wife says it's necessary. It's understandable, since I can't cook. 😁
Gardening has become a pleasure for me in my spare time. It brings me peace and a sense of hope for tomorrow. The plants also provide me with fruit and vegetables. Of course, fruit and vegetables picked straight from our own garden are delicious, fresh, and healthy.
Thank you for visiting my blog, I hope you enjoy my garden.

That’s really unfortunate. Hopefully you can identify the cause soon and find the right treatment for the mango tree. 🌱🥭 Hoping it recovers and stays healthy.
