Hello #hivegarden friends
How are you all? Today I am back with you of course about our rice plants in the fields our anxiety occurs again when pests and diseases attack our growing plants, during this vegetative phase rice plants are very susceptible to caterpillar pests and also brown planthopper diseases which can cause a decrease in yields to the worst case scenario of crop failure this is a very feared condition for us farmers
Before carrying out control and maintenance on my rice plants, I first circled the agricultural land and monitored what was happening while also seeing what pests were attacking my rice plants

After going around all my rice fields, here I found several pest and disease attacks, the first was the yellow virus which caused my chili leaves to turn yellow, dry and die, this is very dangerous if not treated immediately it can spread to all other people's rice plants around
The second I found my rice plants attacked by caterpillar pests from the remains left behind were the shoots torn to shreds eaten and rolled up the old leaves for new larvae the rice leaves will look white and I also found several caterpillars that were active on my rice leaves

Now I can conclude that the rice plants are attacked by viruses and caterpillar pests so I have to do the right handling so as not to miss the target, first I sprinkle nitrogen potassium and phosphate fertilizers to stimulate growth and green young leaves

I have also prepared insecticide poison that can eradicate caterpillar pests quickly and precisely after that I use fungicides and bactericides to eradicate fungi and pathogens in rice plants, the application is by spraying high volumes and this can only be done in the morning or evening, that's the recommendation from local agricultural officers

We took this action immediately before the attack got worse, from the experience in the previous year we experienced a decrease in harvest yields because we were late in dealing with this caterpillar pest attack which caused almost all of our plants to be eaten

Over there there is also a farmer who is caring for his rice plants, he is sprinkling fertilizer in this vegetative phase, we monitor our plants periodically and diligent, besides that I also burn piles of dry grass near my rice fields, the smoke can repel insects that are pests of rice plants

This burning is safe, the fire will not spread anywhere because I have limited the surroundings and this rice field is in the middle of the rice fields in my area, far from forests and residential areas.

I have to say I would prefer the smoke method as that pesticide looks so toxic, but I understand you need to protect your crop.
Thank you very much 🙏 but here I made a mistake again, publishing a late post that was suggested on the first of the month I did it on the second it's a shame I won't get any attention and won't be curated 🤕
No it's okay, we try to support you as best we can so if we see a good post we'll upvote and reblog it anyway. And we've included it in the challenge entries as well.
