Today is my day off and I can finally take care of the garden. I started with cleaning, because without it everything else makes no sense. When I went back and forth, transferring last year's leaves to the compost, I noticed that life was returning to my garden. Fluffy balls have already appeared on the willow. Then I temporarily stopped cleaning and walked around the garden to understand what damage this evil winter had caused.

The first pleasant moment. My Canadian spruce survived and seems to feel good. That's great news!

My flowers seem to be fine too. Frostbite, hyacinths and frytillaria have already appeared from the ground.

The young Paulownia tree raises some doubts. I've been growing it for several years and every time a disaster awaited me. And last year it seems to have created a barrel capable of surviving the winter. But is that so? I'm not sure... I felt the tree trunk and it didn't seem to me that the bark was damaged. But I could be wrong. If everything is really good, it means that the tree managed to pass the critical point and now it will grow. But if not, I can only hope that the roots are alive and it will be possible to start all over again.

But my favorite shrub looks doubtful... Usually in March there are already the first green leaves on it, but I don't see any encouraging signs now...

Anyway, the situation is as it is. If there are losses among the plants, I will have to put up with it.
Your garden is slowly coming back to life after the harsh winter. Keep Gardening!
It looks like the garden turned out better than you expected—it survived the harsh winter, though it did leave some scars. You’ll be able to restore it soon, and yes, you’ll have to accept some damage that you might not be able to fix. Best regards.
