Today I have a small but very pleasant garden renovation. I bought three bushes of boxwood. I didn't hesitate for a long time: they look great - dense, bright, healthy, and the price is quite adequate. At some point you just catch yourself thinking: well, why not? I was in the car, there was money, the need to buy boxwood, too. I'll explain why now.
I knew in advance where I would put them. Decorative reeds began to fall on the fence in several places, and the view, to be honest, became not very good. It's annoying to leave it like that, and it's not possible to redo everything completely yet. And here the boxwood was right on the spot. It is evergreen, calmly tolerates shade and looks neat all year round. For such "problem areas" - almost an ideal solution.

However, I had to tinker a little with the landing. When I started to take the bushes out of the pots, it turned out that the roots had already grown a lot and literally braided the entire bottom of the pots. I had to help carefully, untangle it a little, trying not to damage the roots, so that it would be easier for the plants to take root in a new place. At such moments, there is always a doubt whether it hurt. But, on the other hand, leaving everything as it is by simply cutting off the bottom of the pot is also not an option, the roots simply would have nowhere to grow further.
As a result, I planted, watered, tamped the ground - and went to see. And that's the feeling when you look and understand: it's better. It's noticeably better. Everything somehow got together, was formalized, there was a feeling of order and well-groomed garden. At least in a small area.
There is a suspicion that I will not stop there. Most likely, I'll buy a few more bushes and continue along the fence. Because when you find a good solution, you want to develop it. And, to be honest, this is one of the most pleasant types of "repair" - when you work with a living person and immediately see the result.

It’s great to see the steady progress—everything is looking healthier and more organized. Keep it up 🌿👏
