It finally got a little warmer. April is very cold this year. However, the garden is calling... I don't know about you, and I can't sit at home anymore. Every morning I go out into the yard and just look - what has changed during the night, what has happened, what has bloomed. I would like it sooner, but the weather is the weather... everything slows down a bit... However, there are also successes.

Here, for example, is a magnolia. It's still naked, but the buds are already so plump, velvety - that's why they're bursting. Every year I look forward to this moment as a holiday. And this despite the fact that friends from other regions have been posting beautiful photos of blooming magnolias for a long time. Well, it's okay, I hope I'll do it by the end of the week too.

And next to it is my sakura. I raised her for three years, looked at the bare branches for three years and believed her. And so - dark red leaves unfold one by one, so gentle and solemn. This is probably one of the most pleasant feelings in gardening - when something in which you have invested time and patience finally reciprocates you.

Hyacinth is already in full bloom - pink and purple, bright.

Violas sit in painted pots, looking at the world with their motley faces. The strawberry slowly unfolds the leaves - and even the small miniature shovels with a fork are already stuck in the ground, everything is serious.

Well, the chief inspector of all garden work is Dragon Michelle. Black and red, shaggy, very busy. Checks every bush, every shovel, no planting can do without it.
Spring is like that. He doesn't ask if you're ready. It's just beginning. And that's great.
This is interesting 🌱 I’m based in Africa, so the conditions are quite different, but I’m seeing some similar challenges on my side too.
