My old pear tree. My most loyal garden friend. Every year it pleases me with the harvest despite all the weather cataclysms. Rains, drought, spring frosts and winter thaws. This amazingly strong tree endures everything and the result is constant - a lot of delicious juicy fruits every fall.
The little hibiscus I planted this year has bloomed. To be honest, I didn't think it would happen this summer. But the plant turned out to be very life-loving and striving for beauty and a full garden life. That's certainly very nice. I'll have to think about how to protect it from the winter cold.
But the herbaceous hibiscus, which has been growing in my garden for years, is in no hurry to bloom. Although, as you can see, the plant is quite healthy and feels great. But I'm not too worried. This flower has never been distinguished by early flowering. It prefers the first days of autumn to play the last bright chord in our garden melody.
The young willow has grown again. We have already cut it in the spring, but this tree is very persistent. I don't cut it completely, because in summer it creates a corner of shadow for my birds. However, I can't allow it to grow too high, because it's very close to my neighbours' fence and it will be against the rules. Nevertheless, regular pruning does not upset me. I use these branches to make mulch for my garden.
That's how it could become. It's an old willow that I allowed to grow the way it wants. It's quite far from the fence and it's possible. In addition, it completely covers a small summer house with its crown, which allows you to keep it cool even on the hottest days. Global warming is bothering me, so I'm striving for more trees in my garden.
As you can see, my garden looks more and more like a forest. I'm not too worried about it. Forest soil (my house is almost in the forest) is not very favourable for fruit trees. For a while I tried to do something about it, but then I realised that it was a competition with nature itself, in which I would probably lose. Now my garden is a combination of garden and forest trees. In addition, I add bright accents in the form of flowering shrubs. This is a convenient option. Especially since I'm getting older and it's already difficult for me to take care of both animals and the garden. I hope that in a few years my garden will turn into a completely independent location.
Your garden really seems like a paradise! It's amazing how tough your pear tree is, flourishing despite all those weather hurdles.
Your pear tree deserves admiration as a true marvel of nature and life🌳.
How old is it, by the way?
