Mangoes are being sown in garden | August Garden Journal

So far, I have planted around 40 mango seeds in the garden of this school—which is our own private school—and I am continuously making efforts in this regard.

The garden looked delightful and lovely today because a great deal of overgrown weed had been cleared away; gardeners were at work, and the cleanup process was underway—a sight that truly gladdened my heart. Furthermore, as I looked ahead, I saw that new plants had arrived, ready to be planted in the garden that very day.

Right there, near this garden, there was a large Ramba (digging tool); I picked it up and headed toward the other garden, where I intended to plant the mango seeds.

I had previously planted mango seeds in the small garden in front of my house; after a month of care, a sapling had emerged and was growing well. However, when I checked on it yesterday, I found it missing likely uprooted and taken by some child, which left me deeply saddened. I had intended to transplant it myself, but someone else stole it away, and the pain I felt was akin to a mother losing her child, as I had become so emotionally attached to it.

Although one of my mango saplings a tiny, delicate one has been lost, my spirits remain undaunted; I have planted many mango seeds and am hopeful that several will sprout. Now, planting in a safer location, I grabbed a spade today and began digging holes in the shade of a guava tree to sow the mango pits I had six of them ready to plant.

After digging small holes, I placed the mango stones inside them. Although I had seen online that one needs to extract the inner kernel which is the actual seed to plant a mango, doing so proved too difficult for me; the task simply couldn't be managed with a knife. Back in my childhood, we used to plant mango stones just like that, and mango trees would still sprout from them, so I am simply reviving that same old method today.

There was no need to water the plants today since they had already been watered; meanwhile, the children had started watering them. Ali and I gathered some flowerpots and two buckets and filled them with soil so we could take them home and plant something in them.
