This week the sun has been shining and finally no rain, well until today. All the Peony bushes have burst forth with beautiful blossoms. I just have to share them all with you to enjoy them along with me.

This is the oldest peony I have in my garden. It was given to me by a co-worker of my husband when she retired and was relocating. It was originally from her mother's garden, then transplanted to her home, and then given to me to grow on. We estimated the plant to be over 50 years old, and it has been divided many times over the years. I actually divided it and have it in three places around my yard.

Next up is this pretty striped offshoot from one of my tree peonies that have already finished flowering. It has grown into its own good-sized plant, and it had a few flowers this year.

This Coral beauty has certainly become one of my favs. It took many years for it to become a nice sized bush, but now she puts on a beautiful display at the same time the Verbascum is blooming next to it.

This fluffy-centered peony has poms that are so pretty that it is hard not to fall in love with each flower. I used to use those petals when I made bath salts a few years back. Now, I just enjoy the flowers when I'm working in the vegetable garden.

I don't think I could choose which one is my favorite, but this one would be at the top of my list. Do you have a favorite peony in your garden? If not, you can tell me which one you like the best from mine. ;-)

I so agree, Joan. I can't pick a true favorite Peony; they all are so unique and gorgeous. Are you enjoying the cooler weather?
You are the best, thank you, @ewkaw.
Amazing peonies!
Thanks so much!
You have a lovely variety of peonies. I totally understand that it is hard to choose a favourite. They are all beautiful.
I agree, I can't choose one over the other without feeling bad about the rest of the peonies. ;-)
😀
Blooming flowers signify a very perfect season. Let's have fun with it. Cheers.
I agree, it is the beginning of summer, and the plants are in heaven.
I have 3 peonies, but only 1 flowers. I think the other 2 don't get enough sun. Mine that does flower exploded with enormous flowers in the heat this week. And now the rain has knocked all the petals off. Sigh...
I had my mountain laurel die in the winter this year, so maybe I will move one of the peonies to that spot. It gets a lot more light.
Awe, that's a shame about the Mt. Laurel. But I agree the peonies love more sun than shade. I have one that is now in deep shade, and it rarely blooms as well. The weather is delightful for a change.
Not here, it's been raining and mosquito-y here, but not so hot.
Peonies are gorgeous and how great that you can separate them and use them in so many places.
