It is already the second week of June, and all my Peony bushes are dropping their flowers. It's hard to see them go so fast. I snapped a few more photos to share before they vanish.

This is the brightest peony of all the varieties I have.

This peony bush is inside the vegetable growing area. It has been there for about 15 years and is getting very large.

I love the frilly tops on the flowers, plus they change color as they age.

The following photos are of the three plants growing in my shady gardens.

Needless to say, they were so pretty this year, until the rainstorm started knocking the flowers off. Now, I have to go around and cut off all the pods. Gardening never stops around this house, lol.

Have a great week, everyone!

😍😍😍😍😍
Thank you, love you!
Aren't they the prettiest? You'll both make me aware yet again, that time moves so fast. Flowers bloom and die ad infinitim. It sounds depressing I suppose, but I guess we wouldn't be so aware of their beauty if they lasted forever.
I would have to agree. If all the blossoms lasted throughout the whole season, we would get too used to them and probably not appreciate them as much.
My peony hasn't even opened up its flowers yet! I am learning from your posts that your growing season is different from here.
I think I'm a bit warmer earlier than you are. Being next to two bodies of water seems to make a difference, bringing me a microclimate. I can start planting in April, all the cool-loving plants. I've already harvested tons of lettuce, arugula, kale, and spinach. Soon, the Chinese cabbage will be ready to make kimchi. lol
Just think, you get to enjoy your peonies soon, and mine are almost done. I will miss them.
Your peonies are stunning! I can see it during the wedding, now I understand why people travel from far away to order this kind of flowers... the beauty is so special.
I agree, Peony blossoms are extraordinarily beautiful, and with many different colors to enjoy.
Yup, all the petals are off the one that flowered. The other 2 with 1 bud each haven't opened...
The peonies seemed to go fast this season, maybe due to the wind and rain we have been having. Glad to see you got your garden planted before this next round of rain that they are predicting. Sigh...
We desparatelyneed rain here. I have been watering every few days…
