Good evening. Today we harvested a really nice, large bunch of bananas. We had wanted to cut it down a few days ago because the plant had snapped, and we had to prop it up with a stick to keep it standing. But today, we noticed that the first hand was already ripening.
I took the first two photos of the bunch while it was still on the plant. Then, my husband鈥攈aving cut the bunch down鈥攈ad to place it on the ground to separate it into hands, as you can see. Afterward, I arranged them in a basket to ripen so I could share them with my children and family; we can't just keep it all to ourselves鈥攚e have to share with others.
The bunch had eight hands; it ripens quickly because it is well-developed鈥攎eaning it spent the perfect amount of time on the plant. This type of banana ripens very fast, which is why it isn't suitable for commercial sale. This fruit is a vital part of our diet, as it is a great source of potassium, which is important for our health.
That鈥檚 all for this post; I appreciate the support you give me. The photos are my own. Greetings and blessings to everyone. 馃檹馃珎馃嚮馃嚜
