🌼🌻🌱Welcome to my blog🌱🌻🌼

Hello, I am multifacetas I live in a town in central-western Venezuela. My country has a tropical climate. There are no four seasons, only two: the dry season (December-April) and the rainy season (May-November).

I started gardening when I was a child. At the age of seven, I took my first steps in my mother's garden. One day, I saw a lot of dry leaves and branches, so I took a rake to gather the dry leaves and remove them from the plants. My father had many fruit trees in the yard, and my grandmother had a garden with many pots and medicinal plants. They inspired me.

Specifically, I started gardening on the grounds of a rented house during the pandemic. Since I had co-financing, I needed something to keep me busy, and since I had plants inside the living room, I decided to plant fruit trees such as papaya and passion fruit, and at that time I grew their fruits. At the same time, in the countryside, on semi-arid land, I planted native plants such as maguey, cardons, pitahaya, and mamón.
Then I ventured into my son's backyard, where I planted two lemon trees, papaya, passion fruit, and semeruco. I also planted flowers such as hibiscus and red cayenne. Where I lived, I couldn't plant much because there was no water.
Currently, I have a garden at my new house, two ixoras, and many pots. Taking advantage of the fact that I had several potted plants, I transplanted two papayas, one lemon tree, sword lilies, lilies, crown of thorns, and olive trees almost immediately into a 4x4 square meter space. The rest is concrete. And there is a weekly water supply.

I am also fascinated by cacti and succulents. I haven't made any money from planting, but I have spent money on pots and fertilizers. For me, gardening is a hobby. Sometimes when I plant tomatoes, I save a few cents. I have thought about having a nursery, but I don't have the money to invest. Maybe one day this dream will come true.

I have learned from gardening that you have to spend a lot of time watering, pruning, and grafting to keep the plants happy and ensure they produce flowers or fruit. In addition, you have to check for pests every day to control them.

What I have learned from this passion is that recycling is a good way to use plastic containers and food bags for pots. You can also use shell fragments and dry leaves for compost.
Planting a plant means more clean oxygen to breathe. I also believe that a home without plants is an empty shell. Even if it's just potted plants indoors, you should have them.

Friends, your opinions are welcome...

Well my #HiveGarden friends, have a nice day!
