August has arrived and the second heat wave has arrived.
The peak of the wave is expected to be from August 5-8, although today it is 37 degrees Celsius. The prolonged drought has caught the corn and sunflowers. Our garden is holding up well for now With a shade net, mulch and a watering system. We are only in the garden early in the morning or in the evening when the temperatures are bearable.Our pool has algae, we are currently cleaning it and preparing shock therapy with chlorine for the new water we will add.

The plums are ripe and we've picked them, there'll be enough for a jar of jam. We all love jam, we add dark chocolate to our plum jam.

The tomatoes have started to ripen. With a lot of effort and fighting stink bugs. Several tomato stalks were attacked by a variety of rot, we treated it with calcium, we hope for good results.The carrots also grew well but with constant watering. Since they are not in the shade and we did not put mulch on them. But watering is almost daily.

And the young sweet corn has arrived for picking. Although it's not doing well everywhere in our garden because we didn't water part of it.

Purslane is everywhere right now, and we use it until it blooms. Ideal for salads.

And her majesty the peppers have arrived. On the table on the right is the hot pepper, the first big harvest will be enough for several jars. This is a mildly hot pepper, ideal for whetting the appetite. To the right of it is the Novi Sad pepper and the NS-prva pepper, ideal for pickling and pickling. We are still waiting for three types of red pepper for ajvar. Currently it is green, waiting for it to ripen.
