Gajinov Homestead

(edited)

So let's make it official, that's my last name and we're trying to be a sustainable household. But of course, our garden comes first.
I'll try to link all our activities with that tag. I can tell you that I'm hooked on hives. I started with, I got sucked in with a story about some profit
totally wrong. Now I'm here to learn something new and share knowledge. I learn about a different way of gardening, people, culture. This seems like a much more natural and correct way. Of course there will be some profit, but that's not my goal anymore. Experiences, people, this wonderful community and some more.

Okay, enough about me, how are you?

The first raspberries are arriving, this year is much easier than last year. We also have a lot of new young ones.

For a while I didn't know where I planted the green beans and where the beans, they were so similar.

The beets are doing well, although they were constantly attacked by black aphids, but they managed to survive..

We have peppers in three places, we mulched them everywhere and added marigolds to the rows. We have eight types of peppers, two of which are hot.

Last year I fought the drought and my zucchini survived. This year I'm fighting the zucchini to keep my garden, just kidding
The zucchini is extreme this year and still growing.

I also brought a tape measure to measure this wonder.
The leaves are over 45 centimeters long, and the whole thing is about 80-90 centimeters tall.

The cucumbers are growing well and there are already small fruits. Two types of gherkins and salad cucumbers.

20260613_141923.jpgThe parsley is ready to be picked.20260613_142023.jpg

And the dill is just about to bloom, it's all over the garden, but it's grown the most near the onions.

The watermelon was a little lazy, but it's getting better now.

In the greenhouse, dill and cherry tomatoes will break through the ceiling.

20260613_142545.jpgThe first round of okra failed so we planted another.20260613_142603.jpg
We've already eaten the basil, it's getting ready to flower, I don't remember if I took a picture of it this year :)

The apricots have produced excellent fruit this year, slightly smaller fruits but there are plenty of them.

Quince gave birth so beautifully.
20260613_142249.jpg
All the apples are progressing well and I think we will overcome all the problems regarding apples.

20260613_142159.jpgThe white mulberry tree has recovered well after the frost, it only has three or four strong branches, I will probably leave one or two as guides.20260613_142307.jpg

There is a lot more, but we have to save something for another time.

All images are mine unless otherwise noted.

Thanks for reading.
Until next time.
Stay healthy.

You have a huge garden, my friend. Wow, that is a lot to take care of, but I'm sure it really feeds your family well. Great job!
