December

I think this is the last report for this year in Garden Journal Challenge!.Maybe if I have some news, but I'm slowly wrapping up everything for this year.
I haven't managed to plant the winter-autumn garden, partly because of bad weather, partly because of my obligations.
But I plan to build a greenhouse in mid-January, so I won't be too late.
I've already made plans for the new year, maybe too many, so I plan to use the end of December to rest, spend it with my family in a festive atmosphere.
We have a mixed environment, some celebrate holidays according to the Gregorian calendar, some according to the Julian calendar, so starting from December 25th to January 14th of next year are the Christmas and New Year holidays. A real festive period. I've prepared enough supplies of popcorn and fruit :)

What we managed to save from the frost are the hot peppers that are still holding up. And I can tell you, they are really hot. And the celery. I didn't even know my wife had saved it. We didn't have much suitable space for plants in the house. But we found a place for them next to the balcony door.

And outside it's cold, foggy and frosty.
The temperature hovers around zero during the day and can be a few degrees above zero depending on the day.
I don't mind if the temperature drops below zero, but we're all waiting for snow. It's nicer.
Small mammals on the cypress have turned brown.

The plants in the front garden are going into hibernation, the leaves are turning yellow and falling off.
And in the spring there will be work to repair the wooden paneling in part of the front garden.

And our cat Tom doesn't like winter, he only goes out into the yard for a little while, does a few laps, and then runs inside to be warm. The mint that we didn't pick has almost wilted, while the sage survives well.

And the immortelle looks beautiful, frost, drops of dew, fog accumulate on the immortelle leaves.

Thanks for reading.
Until next time.
Stay healthy.

I'm excited to see your green house soon.

Those long chilli peppers are perfectly well potted, I never tried to plant at the pots. I will also try to plant chilli peppers on the pot soon. ☺

It depends on the size of the pot and how often you like hot peppers. And it's practical because you can move the peppers wherever you want.

Have a lovely break. I don't expect many garden posts over the next month. Looking forward to seeing your January projects.
