Hello Beautiful people, this is my first time posting in this great community and I'm privileged to be here. I'm fashion designer and a farmer from Nigeria, Abia state precisely.
Imagine a football pitch without a goal post, imagine a car without its tire. Now imagine a world without farmers. No matter what people think of us, no matter how poor people treat us, they can't take away the fact " WE ARE THE FEEDERS OF THE NATION"
Since late February, i and my family had been so busy with farm. From harvesting cassava to clearing the farm and preparing it for the new season and to be frank, it hasn't been easy combining farming with my work fashion designing. I have to strike a balance
Harvesting cassava early February

After harvesting the cassava comes the main work.. preparing for the new planting season. Like i said earlier, it wasn't easy but that's where i derive joy. Farming. There is this Igbo adage that says "aka aja aja" translates to "dirty hands" and, when used in the proverb "Aka aja aja n'ebute ọnụ mmanụ mmanụ", it means "hard work comes before success". The phrase highlights that effort and hadwork is required to gain success.
After harvesting, i and my brother make the heaps so as to plant maze, cassava, okra etc. i think this is the hardest part of farming. My opinion though.

It took us two days to make heaps in one plot of land all because we have to attend to our other needs.
Farming in 5 plots of lands is not for the weak especially when they are scattered in different places and worst part is.. they're all far from home.

This particular day, i nearly give up. (Smiles)
We trekked many miles before we got to the farm but went home feeling fulfilled.

My kid brother worked so hard that day. So proud of him
I will show you guys the results soon.
