How chickens contribute to our farm

Growing up into a family that loves farming helps me in a very big way. I remember going out with my dad every Sunday to pack cows dung in a football field close to my house. It was fun as i am my dads right hand boy who loves going to farm with him.

Cow dung is commonly used as fertilizer here in Nigeria because it contains valuable nutrients which are essential for plant growth. But as time passes by, we divert to chicken poop.

Every farming season we normally buy 20 to 30 bags of chicken poop as an organic fertiliser. Though we rare chicken but its not always enough due to the number of farms we have. So we normally buy more to help our farm.

This is how we keep them ready for each farming season

Their is trick i learn from my dad. Pack those chicken poop in a bag, store it. Apart from generating money from raring chicken, you can also make money selling the eggs and the manure.

There are big difference between fertiliser and chicken manure.

Fertilizer are chemicals while chicken manure are obtained naturally.
Its more cheaper and gives the plants more nutrients.
