My Fruit Bearing Plants in the Garden : Jackfruit, Guyabano, Water Apple, Dwarf Orange , Mango and, Custard Apple.

Good day to everyone here in HiveGarden who has the passion in gardening or planting.
Just sharing some fruit bearing plants or trees that I planted on the ground near my house here in Lapu-Lapu City .

When I was a young boy, I have the passion in farming or planting crops or fruit bearing trees. When we were living in a mountainous area of Cebu City ,my parents livelihood was farming like planting some crops like , sweet potato, corns , cassava ,taro , bananas and cultivating mango trees . I was influenced by my parents in farming for everytime they were going to the farm , I also went with them and helping them to plant the crops. We had abundance vegetables and fruit to eat before during 80s.
The passion of farming is in my blood until now . But,here in the City , the farm was gone because the lot is already subdivided by new generation children and we have a very limited area now to plant fruit bearing plants . During 1986 onward , I used to plant banana trees , casava and corns here in our residence.
I like planting fruit bearing trees for I love eating fruits especially some of these that I am sharing here. Fruit bearing trees can give us shelter , supply sufficient oxygen for us to absorb and it can give us unlimited fruits . Planting at first need efforts and dedications for we need to water plants and put manure on its roots. Once the plants grow and getting mature, it can give us unlimited fruits to eat.

My Guyabano plants now . The first one is around two years old . It has some flowers already and maybe this year it will bear fruits .

During early 80s, my lolo's ground was surrounded by some guyabano trees . I love eating it , for it is juicy something sweet and sour. I never know its health benefits. All I know is I like eating eat . I observe that it could cleanse our intestines and we can dispose easily our internal waste without smelly odor or simply give good digestion.
Now I know that guyabano fruit has a natural property as a good cancer prevention , I often buy it in the market but it is very expensive with prices ranges from 60-90 pesos per kilo. It can boost our immune system and also good source of vitamin C. Its leaves are also good remedy to lower blood pressure .
Due to its good health benefits , I planted more on our ground and I excited to watch their fruits on its branches .

Another favorite is the jackfruit.

I like jackfruit for it is juicy and has a good smell once ripe . This fruit bearing tree can live as much as 100 years accordingly . Once mature , it can bear around 150 to 250 fruits per year.
Jackfruits good health benefits are its high contain fiber aids for digestion with less smelly waste . It can boost immune system , antioxidant and helps lower blood sugar and promotes heart health.

My Custard Apple .

In Filipino term it is called "Atis". One thing that I like this fruit tree is, it can easily live and can give unlimited fruits and seeds . After eating it , throwing its seeds on the ground it can live and grow , that is why we have some custard trees here in our ground . It has good health benefits like antioxidant , lowers blood pressure , good for skin and hair , boost immune system and aids good digestion due to its fiber contain .

Dwarf Orange

I bought seeds online for this dwarf orange . Fortunately,I got one survive and live until now . I put it in a large pot since it was a little one . I will transfer it to the ground so that it will grow and its roots can dominate to the ground and soon will give fruits .

Baby Mango plant

This mango plant grows near in my house . My wife wanted it to grow because of its delicious fruits and its leaves benefits to remedy some diseases.

Water Apple

This is called "tambis" in Cebuano term. Water apple can easily live here in the city . Some residents has this tree on their ground. Its fruits are very juicy and crunchy, somewhat sweet and sour. I like eating this with matching salt.
