Hello Everyone 👋
I known that I'm posting after so long as I was busy but here I'm giving you a tour to my farm where we have grown onions and potatoes.
These two vegetables are almost used in everything at my home and therefore cause of high demand at my home we decided to grow it at our own farm. It's been more than the fifteen days since we have grown them and today I decided to go for a walk and I thought I should definitely share it with everyone out there at hive.

Early morning , at seven, I decided to go my farm for a morning walk. My farm is at Kharshal in Jubbal Himachal Pradesh and it's between the lap of nature covered with evergreen forest. Also we have grown apple in our farm and currently they are small and I'll share in detail about it in the coming week.

It's been weeks since it's raining here and you can see the the fresh grass here which is nearly as long as me. I walk very carefully here cause the ground is still wet and you can slip anytime. My farm is 2 kilometres away from my village and I walked all the way to my farm. Walking is a good exercise and morning walk is good best.

Here's a glimpse of my apple farm and you can the onions growin here. They are grown organically and my mom use cow dunk as well as ash for manure and believe me it's the best manure out there. It's easily available and fulfill all the requirements of a onion plant.

To grow, onion this healthy the one thing which is required and must is timely irrigation. Onion requires lots of water during it's growing phase and one must fulfil This requirement by drip irrigation. Drip irrigation does not lead to what a logging or what a pollution and therefore preferred by every farmer out there.

Drip irrigation is a type of irrigation where you apply water directly to the roots of plants with the help of tubes and pipes. This way you can maximize the use of water and it also leads to good growth.

Also, you can see the apple plants here they belong to the royal variety of apple and and such apple are sweet , crispy and juicy. Also timely excavation of soil is important for the growth and it helps the plants to get oxygen better.

Also , we have grown lots of green leafy vegetables and we plug them almost every 2nd day and cook it. Do you know the name of this screen leafy vegetable, if yes then do comment on it. Most of the green vegetable that is there in my farm has grown naturally. Call it a blessing or lock of himachali people. And especially during rainy season , these vegetables go everywhere and you can literally eat it everyday.

And here's a picture of healthy growing potato plant. You can see these leaves are full of chlorophyll and and are growing happily. The very first thing that you need to do is to buy certified seeds as those seeds are free from all disease.

And to sprout them , we need to keep them at sunny for almost a week and then you have to cut large potatoes into two or the potatoes , having two eyes. In the above picture , you can see the horizontal as well as the vertical rows where we have grown our potatoes. Also another Very important thing that you must keep in mind is We have to dig them almost three inches deep and at equal distance from each other.

For the best growth, we need to add lots of water to it , but don't overdo it and avoid excess water as it may cause oxygen blockage to the plant and can lead to it's death.

For fertiliser, you can use the one with less nitrogen in it as it's good for plants overall health. If you are growing organically, just like me, you can use organic compost, which is rich in vitamins and minerals. And help plants to attain its maximum height and also helps in good yield. Harvesting is done almost after two or three weeks of flowering , and I'll also share our potatoe harvesting with you all. Hope you enjoyed reading it.
Thank you for your precious time.
See you soon 😊
