This morning, I was confuse by what happening in my garden. Rat gangs seems to be doing something in my garden without i know. The CCTV didn't even show anything, as they were too small to clearly see the gangs of the rats.
Its quiet. My bedroom right next to the garden. There's only one on the main floor, but last night I slept soundly. I always do, know that tomorrow will be a very annoying Monday morning. For some people, it's call "monster day," for "Monday."

Even for people who don't work in the informal sector and have to go to work on Monday, why is that so annoying? But of course, the most annoying thing is the rats today...

They were eat the tops of the basil leaves that I plant. Right in the end box, closest to the one meter high wall. The rats can climb through the boundary wall cause right below it is a small gutter from a neighbor's house. Annoyingly, I can't put a barrier on the wall because all the hydroponic racks need it as a base to hold them together.

This morning, I also see a pile of rice husks that have been gnawed by rats. All the rice husks were scatter and broke the floor. Were they eating the rice husks? Of course not. It seems like they were trying to get me to work harder on Monday mornings. Annoying! Again, annoying!
Seriously, I even wondered why they were eating the basil I'd planted. It was strange, but my suspicions were too serious. Were all the rats hungry? I've been neglecting some of my plants lately because they need a break so the rats don't get used to breaking through.

I don't use rat poison cause I have a lot of homeless cats around my home and my garden who just beg for food. They even like to sleep under cars for shelter, but they never eat rats. Why is happen?
Call me Isdarmady, sometimes Mady, Putra or anything you want. I have a pretty long name but call me very nicely. There are many things I like, especially hydroponics and coffee, sometimes I also like traveling and eating whatever I want. Life should be like that, there must be many things you like so you can live well. Of course, what you want is a dream, so, when you have a dream then what you have to do is to achieve that dream, don't just let it be a dream.
There are many things I tell on my Blog, I hope you like it. Never hesitate to leave a comment, because your comments mean so much to keep me moving forward.
My english so bad, but I try to be better. I hope we can be friends without thinking about our backgrounds. Let's keep this community better and better known by the wider community.

Nature has its own surprises. I didnβt expect rats target your basil, but gardening always teaches patience.
Thats true but i am shocked :D
Hi @isdarmady! Sorry to hear about the rat trouble in your garden those little guys can really be a nuisance especially on a Monday morning π It's great that you are being mindful of the homeless cats by skipping poison. Maybe the cats just have not learned to hunt rats yet or they are getting enough food from you and others!
The rats seem to want to make me angry on Monday morning :D
