That fruit is delicious, but unfortunately, there weren't any to enjoy. Although you can eat them green, since they were so tall, I left them as they were, perhaps waiting for another opportunity. A curious detail is that despite the constant water, the plant was drying out from the top down. Perhaps it's due to some pest or disease damaging it in such a peculiar way.

In those photos, you can also see other plants, including lemon and orange trees in the background of the garden. I even wanted to go over and take some closer shots, but I felt it would be disrespectful since I didn't have the homeowners' permission, so I decided to stay where I was to avoid any problems.

On the other side were some avocado plants, which, like the hog plum, were also drying out from the top down. I think it's some kind of disease damaging them like that. It's always a pleasure to share with all our friends here in the #hivegarden community, where we show amazing photos of what nature offers us, and it's great to find plants that are quite uncommon, like the hog plum.
