It was early morning when I went to take the photos, and on my walk there, you can see that the sun was extremely strong despite the early hour.

It goes without saying, but even though they were all planted on the same day and at the same time, some are developing better than others, which shows how amazing nature is. Because of the long time they take to grow and the extended waiting period (between 9 months and 1 year), many people here don't like having them at home and definitely prefer other crops that are easier to harvest, such as squash, corn, and plantains, which can also serve as an ideal side dish to accompany our meals in a natural way.

It might not be very clear in the photos, but my uncle told me that about three weeks to a month ago he had a small setback with his cassava plants because leafcutter ants (here in Venezuela 🇻🇪 we call them Bachacos) started making their nests nearby and practically stripped them of leaves. So he prepared a remedy to prevent them from harming the plants further, and it worked. When we plant, we should always keep an eye on our plants.
