Butterfly plant- (Eng)- Planta mariposera (Esp)

This is the plant called Turnera ulmifolia. It is one of the plants that attracts butterflies the most in my garden.

Butterflies come to it to lay their eggs, and then when the caterpillars hatch, they eat all the leaves and flowers they find in their path.

After being a beautiful plant with dark green leaves and very striking yellow flowers, it becomes a bare branch. Nothing remains; the caterpillars eat everything, and it goes from being a beautiful plant to a skeleton. After the caterpillars move on to their next stage of development, this plant skeleton will become attractive again.

It is a shrubby plant that does not grow more than a meter and a half tall. Here, it has taken over a cactus pot, and it only grows to this height. Soon, butterflies will arrive to continue their life cycle.

Esta es la planta de nombre Turnera ulmifolia. Es una de las plantas que más llama a las mariposas en mi jardín. A ella llegan las mariposas colocan sus huevos, luego cuando eclosionan las orugas se encargan de comerse todas las hojas y flores que encuentran a su paso.

Después de ser una hermosa planta con hojas de color verde oscuro, y flores amarillas, muy llamativas, se convierte en una rama sin nada. No queda nada, las orugas se comen todo y pasa de ser una hermosa planta a un esqueleto. Que después que las orugas pasan a su siguiente proceso evolutivo, este esqueleto de planta volverá a ser hermosa de nuevo.

Es una planta arbustiva que no crece más de un metro y medio, como aquí se ha adueñado de la maceta de un cactus, ella solo crece a esta altura. Y pronto llegaran las mariposas para que siga su ciclo de vida.
