Week 12 Garden Weekly Theme: SOUND

There's a couple of ways to look at this theme - preparation for certain activities in your garden, like preparing the soil for crops or preparation for storms and frost, or 'prepping' - preparing for the future so the garden is a form of abundance, resilience and even a matter of survival.

Don't forget to scroll down to find lots of ideas for writing on the single word themes. There might be more to it than you think! We hope you've been enjoying the challenges - thanks for those who've written on them so far who show true community spirit. Some of you have even got some really good rewards and a tip from us!

Some ideas - use these as a springboard for your post!

• Are you a 'prepper'? In what ways do you see your garden as a form of 'prepping'?
• How far do you have to go before you can say you can sustain, or at least partly sustain, yourself from the garden?
• Did the pandemic make you prep more than usual?
• Is it possible to sustain oneself fully from the garden?

or

• How do you prepare the soil for certain plants eg tomatoes, roses, certain ag crops?
• How do you prepare the garden to survive heavy frost or winter storms?
