Hello friends of @HiveGarden. It is an honor for me to participate once again in the dynamics of the gardening topic of the week, which should be about “Budget”.
In the specific case of my garden, where I have varieties of plants, both medicinal and food crops, I would like to focus on one of the suggested questions, regarding: How does gardening help you save money?
I thank the community for its receptivity and support provided to make my publications with respect and adherence to the community standards.

My productive garden has an area of approximately 120 square meters, which has allowed me to allocate some portions of my garden to grow medicinal plants, which have generated significant savings in relation to the cost of medicines in the pharmaceutical market.
In my country, Venezuela, where we are facing an economic crisis, which has been going on for a decade, has influenced the cost of medicines to be very high. This has impacted the family economy, which has allowed us to use the portions of land in our houses to create productive gardens of both medicinal plants and food.
As a result of the problem of "Covid-19", I was forced to focus on the cultivation of plants that improve the respiratory system and that through infusions it is easy to supply and achieve in a very healthy way to face the health crisis generated by "Covid-19", but which I continue to grow today.
This leads me to mention several plants that I have in my garden that have significantly impacted personal and family health.
The medicinal plants I grow are: pennyroyal or mint, lemongrass, tuatúa, aloe, turmeric, oregano and ginger.
Medicines for pain, fever and flu have high costs in the pharmaceutical market, ranging from 150 to 350 bolivars, which is equivalent to saying: 17.6 Hive to 41.18 Hive.
The advantage of having these medicinal plants in my garden is that they would greatly help the physical well-being of my family and would significantly save the family economy.
In the next posts I will refer to the health benefits of each of these medicinal plants.

Thanks for getting involved in the Hive Garden community - we appreciate you posting great content & engaging with other gardeners. Don't forget our weekly challenge is posted every Saturday - and you can even write on previous prompts which you can find here!
Greetings friends. Thank you for your support. I will take into account that the topic of the week must be published on Saturdays.
Good afternoon.
I have seen a lot of Venezuelans on Hive grow their own medicinal plants and it's really inspiring. I love how you guys still value that knowledge passed down the family. A lot of the west forgets it because they can afford to go to a pharmacy and this is a worry as what happens when you can't afford it anymore. Great post.
That's right, my friend. Thank you for such a valuable and meaningful comment. Saving money in Venezuela means growing our own food and medicinal plants.
God bless your life and family more. Success.
