​Two Left Gloves, a Ripped Up Lawn, and Pooping Birds: My Garden Saga

Since my last gardening blog, I searched for some winter pansies. Unfortunately, they were either overpriced or half dead!

I decided to buy a heather instead which I planted in a nice pot and placed it in the corner of the garden.

I’m officially going through gardening gloves at a rate of knots. I had to buy a fresh pair after losing a glove, and incredibly, I’ve managed to lose one from the new pair as well. What makes it even more frustrating? I am now left with two left ones. Typical.

To top it off, I hit my limit with the garden today and had a proper strop.
As I mentioned before, one of my neighbours kindly donated some artificial grass, but he wasn't going to lay it because he's always working. I gave it a go last week, and honestly? It looked an absolute bag of shit. For starters, it's supposed to be glued down, but since we're in rented accommodation, who knows if we're even allowed to do that? I certainly wasn't going to ask permission, nor was I going to fork out my own money for glue. So to hold it down, I had to place bricks on it else the wind would blow it off (I wish it would blow all the way to the USA and drop on Donald Trump's head!) Plus, cutting the turf with the wrong tools is a nightmare, and I was sick of having to sweep leaves off it every bloody day.

Sooooo.... I lost my temper, ripped the whole thing back up, rolled it up, and it's heading straight back into the shed as soon as I can find someone to help me lift it. He can do it. I am officially done!

On top of everything else, I had to clear the moss off the bins yet again today thanks to the local wildlife. The birds have been pulling it off the roof and dropping it everywhere below, turning the bin area into a right mess. Look, I love birds, but sometimes they really are a pain in the arse! It's de ja vu every week. My garden blogs have officially retired until spring. 🙂😁
