Today I want to show you the shallots that I cultivated this season. And today it is around 17 days after it is transplanted. Still about 1/3 out of the total cultivation period for each planting season.
The weather has been nice lately, with less rain. But also it has gotten increasingly hot, which is also not very good for the sahallot. This plant is a little bit picky. When it rains a lot, it got problem, and when it's too dry, it also having issue. But yeah, at least when it hot, I can just water them manually, to keep the moisture in the soil, rather than the helplessness when it rains.
The other thing that I need to take care of during the dry season is the caterpillar attack which usually intensifies during the dry season like it is now. I have to continue to spray pesticide regularly to take care of them, and least take a good precaution before they hit, which will give me a headache.

So far I love the thier growth, better then the previous one, although it is still a long way to go for the harvest time, and my work for this crop is still a lot.

That's a lot and I think they look really good rn. Taking care of it is fun as it can be like a therapy but making sure that they grow more in good condition is what's challenging. Anyways good luck on that ✨💃
Thank you so much. I think this is so far the most shallots that I have cultivated. Hopefully next season it will be bigger as well.
