Hello everyone,
Today, I want to share something that amazed me when I visited my brotherโs fruit farm. It was my first time seeing an apple ber, also called Thai jujube, growing on a tree in person. I have already tasted this fruit, but seeing where it actually grows is a different experience.๐๐๐

You know what? The taste is sweet and crunchy, just like an apple. That is why I got more interested in this fruit. Imagine picking fresh fruits directly from your own tree and enjoying them right away. It feels good to have fruit trees around, especially when they finally start producing fruits after months or years of taking care of them. For me this is my dream fruit. But for my brother it's still ordinary one. Haha!

I amazed on the story behind this plant. My brother bought his seedlings from one of his fellow technicians in Luzon. At first, he planted them in pots. I can just imagine how small those plants were back then.

Now, look at them! They have grown and are already producing fruits. Seeing his plants today made me realize how much patience is needed when growing fruit trees.
According to my brother, it took around two years from planting until the trees started flowering. Then, after about another three months, the fruits were ready for harvesting.

That is quite a long wait, right? But I think this is one of the things we learn from gardening. We cannot rush everything. We just need to care for our plants and wait for them to grow in their own time.
My brother has always been fond of planting. He is also the kind of person who likes exploring different plants. He does not just stick to the usual crops. He likes trying something new and discovering which plants he can grow on his farm.

I admire him for that because I also love seeing different plants grow. Whenever I see an interesting fruit or vegetable, I start thinking about whether I can grow it, too. Sometimes, seeing another person's garden gives us new ideas for our own.
While my brother is staying at home now to recover from his accident, he can still enjoy the results of the hard work he put into his farm. I am happy that his trees are bearing fruits now. At least, he can see that his efforts in planting were worth it.
When I saw his apple ber trees, I said to myself, sana all! Hahaha! I started thinking about planting some in my own garden.

Luckily, my brother gave me seedlings, as he order some seedlings now. Because the first plant is still a trial and error. If that plant will grow here in our place.
Because I'm the one taking care of him, so he give the 1 carton to me, free with a lots of freebies like how to plant, and pot where I will be plant the appleber before transplant to the permanent land. I already have a chance to try growing this fruit tree myself. I hope I can plant them properly and take good care of them until they grow bigger.

I know it will take time before I can harvest my own apple ber, but that is okay. Gardening has taught me that patience is important. We plant today, take care of our plants every day, and wait for the right time to enjoy the results.

I am excited to start this new gardening adventure!๐๐

Hi Rona. It's my first time hearing and seeing an apple ber. What does it taste like? Does it taste like an apple? Is it sweet?
Ang appleber and green apple magkaiba lang sa lasa, For me green apple taste sweet and crunchy. Mas malutong siya. For my taste Kasi the green apple medyo maasim konti na matamis.
never heard or seen this kind of fruit.. I thought it was a green apple, hehehe
kung malapit klng makikikain sana ako, wahaha
makapag share din sana sis. I hope kapag mabuhay Yung sarili ko na tanim. mukhang green apple siya sis. magkaiba lang lasa. ๐

Thank you ๐๐
I haven't eaten this kind of applehow does it taste? I'm used seeing and eating the red one.
I thought they almost the same because apple ber tastes sweet and crunchy, just like an apple! Hehe. But green apples are more sour, while apple ber is sweeter when ripe. Iโm happy I got to see and taste apple ber fresh from my brotherโs farm!
It is truly wonderful to see that your brotherโs apple-jujube tree has borne fruit after so much patience and care. The fact that he shared the sapling with you also speaks volumes about his genuine kindness!
Pwede na po kayung mag offer nang apple ber picking sa farm nyo. Hehe
Para talaga siyang green apple, yay! Never pa me nakatikim neto haha. Binibili rin po ba Ito sa Inyo? Or na try niyo mag benta Ng Bunga?
