Hello everyone! I hope you're all doing well.
Today I want to share about my kangkong garden here in our farm. This is a simple story from me, as a farmer and gardener who loves to how food for my family.

One day I went to the market and saw kangkong seeds worth 40 pesos per pack. I did not think twice. I bought one right away. I really love kangkong, especially in soup. For me, soup is not complete without fresh green leaves. Instead of always buying, I told myself, "why not plant my own so I can just pick anytime. When I got home, I looked for the best place to plant it. I decided to plant it under our avocado tree, just beside our farmhouse. I chose that area because I always pass there every day. I can easily water it and check it. As a farmer, I learned that if you always see your plants, you will take care of them better.

I prepared the soil, removed the weeds, and loosened it using a bolo. Then I scattered the seeds and covered them lightly with soil. Every morning, before I feed the animals and do other farm work, I water my kangkong. It became part of my routine.

After a few days, I saw small green leaves coming out. I felt excited like a child! Even if I have been farming for years, that feeling never gets old. Watching seeds grow is always amazing.

Now, when I cook monggo, tinola or any simple soup. Above all I love apan apan or the adobo kangkong. I just walk to the side of our farmhouse and harvest fresh kangkong.

No need to go the store. no need to spend again. It is fresh, clean and safe because I planted it myself.

Having kangkong in the backyard has many benefits. It saves money, it gives fresh food anytime. It is healthy, and for me, it gives joy. Gardening is not just about food. It also teaches responsibility. If you forget to water, the plant will show you. If you take care of it, it will reward you.

As a farmer, I believe we should plant what we eat. Eve a small space is enough. You don't need a big farm to start. Thank you for reading my story. This is my owned picture, the lead photo was edited in Canva. Have a nice day!
