Hello everyone! Today, I want to share another simple story from our farm that brought joy to my heart.
Farming has always been in my blood. Ever since I was young, I was inspired by my parents, especially my brother, who loved planting different kinds of fruit trees and vegetables. Because of them, I also learned to love farming. There is something special about watching a tiny seed or seedling grow into a tree that provides food for the family.

Our calamansi trees have their own story. My husband planted them during the pandemic when we had more time to stay at home. At first, we simply hoped they would survive, but now they have become one of the blessings in our backyard. For many years already, we have been harvesting plenty of calamansi. Sometimes we use them in our own kitchen, sometimes we sell them for extra income, and sometimes we happily share them with our relatives and neighbors.

This morning, before going back to the hospital, I harvested fresh calamansi from one of our trees. I wanted to bring some to my mother-in-law, who is still confined in the hospital.
While I was walking around our backyard, I noticed that almost all of our calamansi trees, whether small or already fully grown, were loaded with fruits. Seeing them made me smile because it feels me overwhelmed that every effort we put into caring for our plants is worth it.
I also checked our guyabano tree, and I was happy to see that it already has fruits too, although they are still small and need more time to grow. Hopefully, in the coming days, I can harvest some and bring them to my mother-in-law as well. I sincerely pray that by then, she will already be discharged from the hospital and we can finally bring her home.
Another thing that made me happy was seeing our little lemon tree. We only planted it last year, yet it has already started bearing fruits. It may still be young, but it is another reminder that patience always brings rewards.

Before my husband and I left for the hospital, I prepared fresh calamansi juice for both of us. Since it has been rainy and very windy in our area these past few days, drinking calamansi juice is one of our simple ways of strengthening our immune system because it is naturally rich in Vitamin C than just growing fruit. It is about providing healthy food for the family, earning a little extra income, and having something to share with others.

If you have even a small space at home, or even just a pot, I encourage you to plant a calamansi tree. It is easy to grow, requires little maintenance, and one day you'll be thankful that you have fresh calamansi ready whenever you need it.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story. This is my owned picture and edited in Canva. Happy planting, everyone, and may God continue to bless our farms and our families.

Calamansi is really good, been drinking warm calamansi since Monday coz I feel like I am catching a flu. It's good that all of those are readily available on your farm. π
I hope you feel better soon. Warm calamansi helps when you're starting to flu. I'm thankful that we have fresh calamansi growing on our farm anytime we need it. Take care and stay healthy!
This is definitely one of my favourite fruits. It's so juicy, soft, and sweet. I know it as guanabana or soursop, but I see that you called it guayabano.
