Phew... we finally have a bit of time do some chores around the house... an unusual week, but we have this week and next where both of our work is a little less hectic! That said... one of my arms is a little bit on the sore side, and I do need to nurse it a bit seeing as arms are pretty damn useful for a violinist!

Around the garden... it is mostly the un-exciting stuff like cutting back fruit trees and various other things over the winter... and then the joyless task of weeding back the weeds and winter grass that has taken a big hold during our month and bit of gardening hiatus.

... but it is also a chance to sit back and marvel at the little changes that are taking hold... the roses that are growing strongly (need to train them up...), the tulips and other bulbs that are popping up everywhere (weird... a little early?)... and this native that is blooming one very oversized flower on a newly planted plant! I probably should cut it off so that it can concentrate on growing... but it just looks so pretty!

... and it should eventually grow to a large sized bush, if the trees don't end up stealing too much of the nutrients.

... but there were other "outdoor" chores that needed to be done. We did a concert last weekend, and the front-left tyre picked up a nice little nail... but then we both went away, and took the larger car and left this one at home... and also left the tyre to be changed when we got back.

Anyway, in between gardening sessions we did the tyre... hopefully properly, but I will take the tyre down to the workshop and have it repaired... and I'll get them to double check our noob tyre change job as well... I'm not particularly keen to see a tyre fly past me on the motorway!

... and then some home renovation things that are on the radar now... the rest of the house is getting fitted with Magnetite (a perspex inner layer for insulation...) and that will complete the house window job. But my wife insisted that we wash the windows in preparation for the installation!

And we can get started on planning, designing, and beginning the rest of the planned renovations... first up, the studio extension for the keyboard instrumnets... and then perhaps a deck and a new carport... and then a roof replacement at some point. Lots of things on the radar to do... and lots of saving up to do it! These things aren't cheap...
