Blooms out!
A tiny moment at home between projects to admire the blooms that have stated with the spring season... And to despair at the grass and weeds that have come up in a huge way. I went out with the whipper-snipper and did a quick slash job of the grass and weeds... Nothing tidy or laying, but it will do until I'm back again. At least there won't be huge long grass to hide snakes...
But then, a chance to walk around and take a few photos of the little things that have started blooming!
The tulips came up early and fast this year! Lovely deep orange blooms in the main bulb bed, following after the daffodils. On the front side, they have come up after being dormant last year, but no flowers yet.
In the new rock mulched bed are few closing bushes.... New ones, so not quite so bushy at the moment, but they will get there. But some nice little buds on it, I forget what they were though.... I probably should draw a garden map to remind myself.
And finally, on the front path, this bush just burst out in blooms in the few days while I was away. And it is a huge bee attractor... The bush just hums with the all the bees flying around and landing on it to feed. A nice thing, especially as other people have been noticing that there are fewer bees this year...

The tulips are absolutely stunning and I love how vibrant their colors are. I think it will look even more beautiful when the other flowers start blooming. I don’t have that variety yet, but I hope I can find it around here someday.
They do look great at the moment, but soon we will have to cut them back.

looking nice, they can improve even more if you improve the quality of your soil (composting regularly, clear stones and solid from soil,etc)
Yes, our soil is pretty heavy clay... it works, but we do need to break it down a bit over time. Perhaps next winter, we can lay down a layer of manure/mulch.
I can relate, spring flowers are such a joy, but the weeds never take a break! uggh
I'm away for a week, I dread to think about what sort of a head start the weeds have on me...

Spring flowers are doorway to life. Im glad you had a walk in your area, for these beautiful flowers long awaits you. The first flower looks majestic but the bush like a bee attractor is sublime. That garden is full of glory. I hope you take care of it wholeheartedly.
Bee attractors are the best! I hope they help out any hives that are nearby, we love our honey!
We have a tree like that bush you have where the bees just swarm to it in the spring to take advantage of all the buds. It's a crazy sight!
It is great that they are doing the work of helping out the bees... I worry that there is a bit of a bee drought this year.

Wow! I really like flowers, whenever I see flowers I feel happy, I don't know why .. But I'm sad because my garden last summer doesn't have any flower even though I tried planting.
Next year I will try to plant again.
The previous year was a little less successful for us, at least for the bulbs. This year is good though!

Amazing how you garden comes to life with the changing season, those tulips and blooming bushes sound beautiful! I can just imagine the bees happily buzzing around. I’m also planning to plant zinnias soon. cheerful color and great for attracting pollinators too!
I will have to look up Zinnias, maybe those might also be good here!

Spring is great... but it also means a poopload of work as well!
Try doing two gardens!!! And one I have to keep tidy to sell the house.... Dammit
