I'm shocked to read that you have a fable for anything with the word "garden" in it. Shocked I must say.
It's a beautiful one indeed. Can't believe you didn't take any cuts.
And a bout blackbirds - the most intrusive species is still the human being. The rest just follows along. If it wasn't for nosy, featherless, careless and inconsiderate bipods, intrusive species would just slowly migrate, not invade. If at all. I hope your big native birds hold their ground.

Oh yeah but I still hate blackbirds... They are such bloody pests. They rip up all my seedlings. And the guy who originally imported them is long dead.
Oh wow that is unforgivable. Forget about what I said, they're a plague, we should eradicate them. Meddling with seedlings is the limit, even for me.
