Rat always be a pest from a plant lover
they are really annoying
My cactus was biten by them and more are dead because if the rats
I used Thorn cactus surrounding cactus that does not have thorns. But, sometimes rat still can eat the non thorn cactus

barrel cactus ku aja pernah sisa separuh padahal diameter dah 20 cm itu aja kalo ak pegang susahnya setengah mati harus pake sarung tangan tebel
tapi tikus masih aja gigitin
