Fluffy, Crunchy, My Garden Harvest In Abundance
It's all about perspective. I believe that how we look at something influences the outcome. So, I always feel that my small garden can produce abundance within limitations.
By gardening, we also understand how many miracles occur. From a small seed, it can grow day by day into a large plant ready for harvest.
I'll show you my plants that make me grateful for God's blessings every day, every second and minute. For all this beauty, even though there are ups and downs behind it. But of course, most of it is about the beauty that is joyful.
This is my first time growing lettuce. At first, I thought I'd fail because the climate in my area is quite hot and dry.
But, thank God, it wasn't as bad as I thought! In fact, the results made me very happy.
I just learned that planting and caring for lettuce isn't as difficult as growing mustard greens and bak choi. The lettuce actually seems pest-free. Perhaps because lettuce leaves aren't as sweet as bak choi plants, pests don't like them.
It feels like just yesterday I planted this lettuce. It was just transplanted a few weeks ago and was still small.
Lettuce that's 2 weeks old after transplanting. It still has a few small leaves. But then, look...
Three weeks after transplanting, the lettuces look even happier in the white polybags. They seem to be growing well with my regular fertilization.
Finally, my organically grown lettuces look fluffy on 4 weeks after transplanting! When I hold these lettuces, it feels like I'm touching the fluffy fur of a pet cat! Oh, how delightful!
Look at the miracle that happened. I have an abundance of lettuce from my small garden. They started from just tiny seeds and they've turned into fluffy, crunchy heads!
I haven't harvested them all yet, but this much already! I'll share them with my neighbors. As for the rest, I'll use some polybags as a daily supply for my cooking.
I never thought the results would be this delightful! Also, I'll invite you to harvest other vegetables next week.
Last week, I also harvested white bak choi. I still have a few plants left that I didn't harvest all of. I harvested the remaining white bak choi plants in stages, only cutting off the leaves, not the center of the roots. This way, I can harvest again in the next few weeks before they flower.
I also harvested baby green beans. This is over and over again harvest of baby green beans. And it looks like these green bean plants will soon die as their productive period is over.
For the next few days, I'll be busy processing the used growing media. I'll be planting other varieties in my garden. I hope you enjoy my harvest this time. See you!

WOW! That lettuce stash is really looking even better than stuff that you can buy at the supermarket. Yup sweet pea season is finished here as well, just like your green beans. using the plants for compost here as well.
The poly bags seem to be working fine for you. Good that it separates the plants from each other so pest doesn't get in. I have all kind of random pots but yours looks a lot more structured hahaha.

Wow, you have so many lettuce to harvest. I never try to plant a lettuce and is rarely to eat since in our place, they sell it occasionally. What I tried to plant was that beans and pakchoi or petchay in our dialect.
