In my country, people who love orchids generally place them in hanging planters—often improvised ones that allow the plant to grow freely, rather than in enclosed containers.
You could even use something like a fan guard—yes, it’s a bit unusual, isn't it? The fact is, the plant likes to feel free and exposed to the air.

It always needs a host medium to provide good nourishment—such as fir bark, though here we mostly use coconut husks.

Believe me, they look spectacular hanging from the ceilings of terraces and patios. Of course, it also depends on your country's climate.
