Places around the world to explore, visit and admire. June’s theme. (EN-ES)

The world is beautiful and is one whole, beyond the boundaries set by humankind, those boundaries drawn to divide countries, but in reality, the planet is one and is marvellous.

With that in mind, and continuing with the theme for June, which I invite all my readers to join in with, I’d like to talk to you today about places that I think are truly beautiful to visit for various reasons. I believe there are countless such places, so I’ll mention a few; you can do the same.

In this month’s first post, I told you about my passion for Egypt, which of course remains at the top of my list. But when I think of other places I’d like to visit, many spring to mind; in fact, I’d travel the whole world if I could, every place has something special. But as you know, I love nature, so I’d choose those places where the beauty is overwhelming and where I’d find myself gazing in awe at landscapes that seem otherworldly.

The first place I’d like to visit outside the country where I live, because, of course, I’d travel all over Spain, is Italy, because of my grandmother’s roots, and for many other reasons, such as the food, the people, and to find out what it feels like to be in the land of my maternal great-grandparents. But I wouldn’t visit the traditional tourist spots in Italy; instead, I’d go to the small villages. I’m not interested in big cities, or luxury, none of that sort of thing, but rather those places that seem forgotten, little villages with their little stone houses.

I remember there was a creator here on Hive, an Italian woman who posted about lots of those places, and I was enchanted by them; I always looked forward to seeing her posts because they made you feel as though you were travelling with her. And I’m not talking about Rome and its famous sights, but those places that people don’t even know exist, exploring them, that’s what I like. Of course, Italy also has incredible natural beauty and I’d love to explore it.

Me encantaría.

But there are also some idyllic places in the world, and I’ll give you a few examples that I’ve seen which are truly marvellous, such as the Plitvice Lakes in Croatia. When I first saw this place online, I was blown away by its beauty, the contrast of colours, the lush natural surroundings and the shades of the water. It’s a place that seems untouched by human hands, even though it’s a tourist destination, but I love those places in their natural state where humans haven’t had much influence.

It must be incredible to stroll along its paths and take in that turquoise colour that’s visible everywhere. I’d love to go there.

Another place I find beautiful, and which I’ve seen in photos and videos online, is Ha Long Bay in Vietnam. I imagine those rocks rising out of the water to create extraordinary views, and what it would be like to take a boat trip amongst them, seeing them so huge in comparison to me.

It must be a spectacular trip that I’d never forget, and to be honest, I always thought this place had inspired one of my favourite films in terms of extraordinary and magical natural scenery, but that wasn’t the case. So, after doing some research, I’m sharing this place with you below.

This is the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park; it’s the place that inspired the director of the film Avatar, and quite rightly so, as it’s a landscape straight out of another world. In fact, ever since I saw the first film, I’ve said that if a place like that existed, it would be my favourite, the planet from the film, and then I learnt that the inspiration for several of the scenes came from this forest park. Such beauty.

I think standing atop those rocks would be sublime, because the view from the ground is not the same as being up in the sky. I think I’d feel a bit like I was part of the film, where a love of nature is one of the most important things, where there is respect for it and everything is a riot of colour, everything sparkles and there is abundance. Another beautiful place to visit.

Amonet.

And although I’m Argentine, I don’t live there, so I can choose any place in that beautiful country, which boasts a wide variety of climates and, consequently, natural landscapes. My mother always mentions that when she was young she travelled with her parents to see the Perito Moreno Glacier and that it’s majestic. Back then, there weren’t any tours , as there are now, to walk on the glacier. That would be incredible. I don’t like the bitter cold, but the experience would be wonderful.

What’s more, the views from a boat, taking in the vastness and imposing presence of the glacier, would be spectacular, reminding us that nature is vast and truly beautiful, I think that’s what would go through my mind at that very moment. I’d also be reliving an experience my family had over 55 years ago. It’s fascinating.

Of course, there are many more places, I think an infinite number, but I’ll leave you with a few here, which might serve as inspiration for this month’s topic. Thank you very much for joining me today; warm regards to you all. See you soon.
Amonet.

I’ve already had a look at the video of the 50 villages of Italy — what a wonder… As soon as I have electricity I’ll multitask to go through everything you’ve shared. And I’ll dream of travelling there and exploring those beauties by bike… wow, little houses stepping down the hillsides… there are so many beautiful places in the world… (sigh) Calabria has some really charming little coastal villages…

Did you see how beautiful it is? I learnt a lot about this here on Hive and I loved it!!! It’s the little villages I like best, not the Vatican, Rome and so on… the villages have a special charm.

Good morning, dear friend @avdesing.

This month's challenge is fantastic! It allows us to virtually discover beautiful places around the world that we all dream of visiting.

Your choice is excellent; I'd also love to explore Egypt, Italy, and my wife's roots in Greece.

I'm taking this opportunity to wish you a wonderful day.

Love to the whole family.

I’ll be here whenever you fancy popping round, because those places are brilliant. Thanks, Luis!!

Good evening @avdesing, it seems you also have excellent taste in travel. I wouldn't know which to choose from all the places you've shown us... perhaps because of the language and because it's one of the roots of Spanish culture, I'd start with Italy. Two places in Italy I'd love to visit are Rome and Naples...

Thank you so much for these glimpses into such diverse places... I'm still thinking about my trip, or trips...

Big hug!!

I have a special affection for my ancestors, which is why I love Italy – with its beautiful villages. I’m not keen on big cities, but I do love those little villages. I’m looking forward to your post… maybe you’ll want to travel to Mars!!🤗
