You know, I clicked on this as I thought, fuck, what can be interesting about a bank, and sure enough, it was more interesting than I thought haha..but then, the weight of history in even the dullest institutions can make for a good tour despite expectations.
I love a good bank heist story, so imagine carrying out a heap of gold bars, no wonder they need reinforced trucks. Also makes me think about how much money has passed through from the profits of colonialism/the spread of British Empire...

Actually I asked the staff about the danger of having the vault right bang in central London. Her response was "Have you tried driving in central London and how long it takes you to move a mile?" Good point 🙃
I actually wondered about the location myself but it makes perfect sense it being there considering the traffic situation and I'm quite sure it's well protected.
